Mr. Friel brings an uncommon ability to learn quickly and excel across disciplines to his role at DBD Investment Bank, which he joined in 2026. He earned his Bachelor's in Marketing from the University of Utah's David Eccles School of Business.
While completing his degree full-time, Mr. Friel worked as a plumber at Performance Plumbing Corp., managing hundreds of residential and commercial projects and building the client instincts and discipline that carry through his work today.
Prior to joining DBD Investment Bank, Mr. Friel developed a strong foundation in research and strategic consulting through engagements at ThenWhat, SmartMagic, Penna, and Westminster University, leading market research across technology, retail, lifestyle, CPG, and developing brand strategy for clients including Jimmy Choo, Starbucks, and Intel.
Outside of work, Mr. Friel restores vintage motorcycles and mentors at-risk youth through a motorsports program, teaching mentees to rebuild cars they then race in rallycross competitions.
